Who is responsible for your data
SPEKTON, Malıköy Mah. Anadolu OSB 4. Cadde No: 4, Sincan / Ankara 06909, Türkiye, is the data controller for personal data collected through spekton.com. Questions about this policy or about your data go to info@spekton.com or +90 312 502 0600.
Personal data is processed under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Where an enquiry comes from the European Union or the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies alongside it.
What we collect and why
Request for quotation form. When you send an RFQ we collect your full name, company, work email, phone number if you give it, the requirement text you write, and any technical drawing or CAD model you attach. This is the minimum needed to evaluate a manufacturing enquiry and reply to it. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps at your request (KVKK Art. 5/2-c; GDPR Art. 6/1-b).
Website analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. Analytics data is pseudonymous: it records device, browser, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and page views. It is not joined with RFQ data. The legal basis is SPEKTON's legitimate interest in understanding how its technical content is used (KVKK Art. 5/2-f; GDPR Art. 6/1-f).
Server logs. The hosting platform records the IP address, requested URL, and user agent of each request for security and capacity purposes and retains those logs for a short, fixed period.
Who receives your data
RFQ submissions are delivered by email through Resend, Inc. (USA), a transactional email provider, to SPEKTON's sales inbox. Attached drawings travel with that email and are not stored on the website itself. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Analytics is processed by Google Ireland Limited. Each of these providers acts on SPEKTON's instructions under a data processing agreement, and transfers outside Türkiye and the EEA are covered by standard contractual clauses.
SPEKTON does not sell personal data and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data may be disclosed where a court order or an export control authority requires it.
How long we keep it
RFQ correspondence, including drawings, is kept for the life of the commercial relationship it opens and for the statutory retention period that follows, which under Turkish commercial law is ten years from the end of the year in which the last transaction took place. An enquiry that leads to no order is deleted after two years. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months, the shortest setting Google Analytics offers.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics runs in Google's consent mode: until you accept the cookie notice it sends cookieless, aggregated measurement only. If you accept, it sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors across page views; they persist for up to two years. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and can be reversed by clearing site data. Declining loses no function of the site, including the RFQ form.
Your rights
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15 to 22 you may ask what personal data SPEKTON holds about you, request a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask that it be transferred to another controller. Send requests to info@spekton.com. SPEKTON answers within thirty days. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) or, in the EU, to your national supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
This policy was last updated on 2026-09-07. It changes when the site's data processing changes, and the date at the top of the page moves when it does. Material changes to how RFQ data is handled are also announced to open enquiries by email.
